This is a extremely soft yarn made of 100% Uruguayan Merino wool that was hand dyed with natural dyed extract + iron in a green olive color. It also has the peculiarity of being a thick and thin yarn, giving movement and life to whatever you are going to knit.
This soft, worsted weight yarn is perfect for natural, cozy garments, accessories, and projects for the home.
Merino wool unlike other wool has a smaller fiber diameter, responsible for its softness and flexibility to the touch. It has a wide variety of properties that cannot be found in other types of fibers, such as high thermal capacity, excellent perspiration, soft contact with the skin and absence of bad odors, since it is naturally anti-bacterial and has protection to UV rays.
In addition to these qualities, we color it in an ecological and sustainable way with Fustic liquid extract that we sourced from Botanical Colors. The Fustic, scientifically known Chlorophora tinctoria or Maclura tinctoria, is a tall tropical hardwood that grows from Mexico to Argentina. During the WW1, fustic was one of the main dyes used to produce khaki for army uniforms.

You have to know that our yarns are hand dyed in small batches, this means you have to expect subtle color variations between skeins. If you are unsure of the amount of yarn you will need to knit your project, we recommend you purchase 1 or 2 more skeins to ensure the same color tone.
By using natural fibers with no-chemicals that are ecologically processed, we ensure their total decomposition in the event that they end up on a landfill or any other natural space.
